     the ball undergoes simultaneous accelerated rotational and translational motion.
 
     or
 
     the ball undergoes rolling with slipping.
 
this is because  the ball has some initial velocity. now, it accelerates, thus there is some force => torque acting on it. so, it acquires additional linear velocity in addition to that due to rolling.
