hello! TANISHA
I am a class 12 cbse student and will try my best...
A1. distance = t1 X 0.20
distance = t2 X 0.050
so t1 + t2 = (5 + 20 ) X distance
so 50 = 25 X distance
thus distance = 2 mi
A2. speed of second = 99m / 10 seconds = 9.9 m/s
so time taken = 100/9.9 seconds from beginning or 1/9.9 seconds after that point.
A3.let distance from A be d miles.
so time taken by each = d/50 = (200-d)/40
calculate d from that
time = d/50 = ?
A4. slope = rate of change of distance with respect to time, that is speed.
that one moves faster whose slope is steeper, or has greater slope.
A5. since slope of the graph is the speed,
graph for accelerated motion is a curve, since its slope is changing,
and graph for uniform motion is a straight line as its slope is constant.
A6.horizontal component = speed X cosine of angle between speed and horizontal.
vertical component = speed X sine of angle between horizontal and speed.
A7. horizontal velocity = { (- 2) - 5} / 2.5 = - 2.8
vertical velocity = ( 4 - 3.5) / 2.5 = +0.2
magnitude of velocity vector = square root of sum of squares
= sq rt of 7.88
tan of angle between horiz. and velocity = vertical velocity / horiz. velocity.
HOPE I'M RITE!!!!

Hey everyone, I need some help. I have an Honors exam in Physics and I need to understand how to do these problems. I missed the nots from last class and need to catch up. If possible, please respond back soon. Thanks!. A runner with a good awareness of her pace runs along a path of unknown length at a speed of 0.20 mi/min and then walks back to her starting point at a speed of 0.05 mi/min. She neglects to note her time for each part of her path, but she does measure the total round trip time to be 50.0 min. How far has she run?Two sprinters run a 100. meter dash, with the winner finishing in 10.0 sec. If the other runner was 1.00 m behind the winner at the finish, how long did it take her to run the 100 m.Two towns, A and B, are 200 miles apart. Car 1 starts from town A and, at the same time, car 2 starts from town B. They move toward each other with constant speeds: car 1 at 50 mph, car 2 at 40 mph. Where do the cars meet? How long does it take for them to meet?If the distance an object traveled is plotted on a graph vs. time, what physical quantity does that slope represent?If the distance two objects traveled is plotted on a graph vs. time, how could you tell which object is moving faster?How does the distance vs. time graph of an object that is accelerating compare to the distance vs. time graph of an object that is undergoing uniform motion?Find the horizontal and vertical velocity component of a velocity of 50.0 m/s, 35.0°.Find the horizontal and vertical velocity of an object that moves from (5.00m, 3.50m) to (-2.00m, 4.00m) in 2.50 seconds.
