AND, with this question the language used is very ambiguous.  Are the values ABSOLUTE or RELATIVE mins and maxs?  As one of the respondents from India indicated, the constant function on an interval fulfills the hypothesis and not the conclusion, etc., etc.  Mathematics is noted for its precision in language, not its sloppiness.  This question, stated properly, is just another asking if the problem solver knows that for a non-constant Class C1 function, differentiability implies continuity, from which the conclusion follows.
