[forwards4all] COMMUNAL JOKES NOT ALLOWED

Hello friends,

 

I'm receiving complaints from few members regarding jokes which are being circulated, targeted to a particular community. Its an inhuman act to make mockery of someone's culture, religion or ethnicity.

 

I request all the members not to post jokes which are targeted to particular religion or ethnic groups. Instead of that, you can always write a person's name as XYZ or Santa, Banta, etc.

 

Please note that COMMUNAL STUFF WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.

 

On behalf of the group, I apologize to our Sikh brothers if we have ever hurt their feelings and ensure that this will not be repeated.

I am a member of the yahoo group of which I presume you are the moderator. I am writing to you to lodge a strong protest at the so-called "Sardarji jokes" which keep circulating in this yahoo group.

These jokes are directed at a particular community and are therefore nothing but COMMUNAL. I think this is quite obvious but I fail to see why you as a moderator have done nothing about them. This is all in poor taste and uncalled for.

what do u think will happen if tomorrow someone starts circulating jokes about other communities, say Hindu jokes or Muslim jokes? You can well imagine the problem it can create.

Please do something about it.
