[Math4u] factoring

Hello people I’m looking for different ways to factor . My multiplication is week so when I look at stuff to factor  it takes me a long time to figure it out . I know there are different methods to do this I have seen some people do factoring different ways in the past . I don’t remember what I saw . One method took the first # and the last you put them side by side with a number on top then cross multiplied or something this would give you your factors. And the 2 numbers side by side would add to get the center you started with .  but not totally sure on this method . I have a final math exam on Thursday so looking for ways to make it better.
