[Math4u] Testing the Validity of a Model

Gentlemen,

I am working with some problems of Finance and Economics
particularly Credit Rating Models. However,

my background consists of Physics, MAthematics, Statistics, Finance
and Economics.

I shall appreciate if any one of you can suggest me a good
statistical method for testing the validity of a

model?
