Re: [Math4u] Q ???

Great, I like when people send in algebra problems.
Steps to solving problems
Problem 1
1.1  Write the equation for the slope of the curve.  Slope = f ' (x)
1.2  f ' (x) = 7.5
1.3  Solve for x
Problem 2
2.1  If the first number is x, then what is the second iumber?
2.2  What is the product of these two numbers?  Call this product f(x).
2.3  What is the slope of this curve?
2.4  What is the slope of the curve at the maximum?
2.5  Write the equation f ' (x) = 0
2.6  Solve for x
Problem 3
Graph some parabolas with different values for c until you understand the answer.
Problem 4
What you need to do is convert the words into equations
Side A = a
Side B = a+3
(Side A)^2 + (Side B)^2 = (65^0.5)^2
do substitutions and solve for a
Let us know what steps you get stuck on.
regards,
Brian

Subject: [Math4u] Q ???

Hi every one, I have questions:

1. Find point P(x,y) of the graph of the equation: y = x^2 , such that the slope of the line

passing through the point (3,9) and P is 15 / 2 .

2. Find two numbers whose sum is 18 and whose product is a maximum .

3. Vertex of a parabola: y = - x^2 + 8x + 2c  is a point on the x-axis , then find the value of
" c ".

4. One side of a right triangle is 3m longer than the shortest side, if hypotenuse is the square root of 65m in length then, the length of the shortest side ?

<<PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP >>

regards
