I would encourage others to respond and am interested in other answers. I think practice is the key. The test will be similar to questions in the book. It is not easy for teachers to make up questions, so don't be surprised if question #1 at the end of the chapter is on the test.
I used to try to find the hardest problems at the end of the chapter that I could solve. There were always many that I could not solve. If you feel lost, maybe there aren't any that you can solve.
I wish people would send in more problems. Try to solve some yourself. If you think you have the correct answer, have faith and move on. When you get to a problem that you cannot solve, go as far as you can and send in what you have or where you got stuck. It is fine if you write in with a different problem ten days in a row.
You could make us solve problems from scratch. This will be no better than if you looked at the solved examples that are in your book.
The day before the test, see a funny movie. If you fail the test, so what?
Regards,
Brian

Ok I have only been here few times . I am a mature college student . I'm in big math trouble. I have a first semester final next week I is on algebra ,problem solving, quadratics, Crammers law and trig . Now my math skills were weak when I started this course and have only gotten worse . I look at this stuff now and haven't got a clue how to start or what to start with. I must get 60% to pass this course. The exam is on the 12 or 13th . is there and good ideas on how to cram this stuff into me so I could get my 60 %
I think my issue starts with the algebra as I was never properly taught the basics and I do not recognize the different things to do with things as you get into polys,bi's and tri's . I have issues with factoring . I was not to bad at trig but have been working with the other stuff so much that the metal block is now happening with trig too .
So any help or direction would be great . I'm trying to find a tutor that is will to take me on also .
