Better, The angle between the tangents drawn to the circles at a point of intersection is 90 degrees or pi/2 radians.  There are three different words used in English to indicate that geometric figures intersect with an angle of pi/2 radians (90 degrees) between their tangents.  If the geometric figures are themselves straight lines, then perpendicular is used, if one is a straight line and one is a curve, then the word normal is used, and if both are curves, then orthogonal is used.
